Today was a good day for our boys. We won both games. First game vs. Hahn from Ottawa (Region 1B winner) was a 8-5 victory for us against a team we had lost to earlier this year.
Second game was (also) a 8-5 win over the Region 4B winner (our region) from Seaforth – the only team entered this week that we had a winning record against this year.
So, at the end of today, we have sole possession of 2nd place with a 4-1 record – one win better than the two teams we playtomorrow. They are Hall, the Region 3A winner and also the defending champs (we lost to them earlier this year), and Lyon-Hatcher, the Region 1A winner and last year’s silver medalist (who have a split win/loss record with this year).
First game starts at 1pm and second game at 8pm. That will finish the championship except for tie breaker games on Sundayif needed to determine the champion as well as the three teams to move onto the Ontario Winter Games at the end of February. There are no playoff games for this week’s OCA championship.
