2014-2015 Mens 2nd Draw Players Schedule – Dec 2 Revision
We have corrected the schedule to reflect the fact the club is closed on December 22nd and the fact team 6 played team 7 back to back. Let me know if there are any more corrections required. Thanks
As discussed we have rejigged the teams to make 12 teams with one game being played on Tuesday each week. Please refer to schedule to find out if you curl Tuesday. Teams 11 Paul Winslow & 12 Doug Hall will be curling on Tuesday this week.
I would ask that the winning skip on the team curling Tuesday email scores into John Hyslop.
I have included our guest convenor John Hyslop’s comments below:
- We continue to see our Monday Night League grow with the recent addition of another 5 players! We have 55 people signed up for this round of games. As a result, we needed to go up to 12 teams (from 10) and change the rosters somewhat. To that end, we are going to start the draw over again this Monday with respect to the standings. Please see the attached file for the new team rosters.
- As you know, we can only accommodate 10 teams at a time in a particular time slot. As a result, with the new 12 team format, one game per week will need to be played at a different time than the traditional 7 pm Monday format. Two options were considered: 9 pm on Monday night, or 7 pm on Tuesday night. At this time, we have chosen the Tuesday night option and teams will rotate through that evening. At most, each team will only need to play one game on a Tuesday night. The schedule is included in the attached file on a separate tab from the roster.
- There are now fewer teams that have 5 players. Even in situations where a team has five players scheduled to attend, we could have other teams missing two or three players on any given night, so having extra players for one team can help even up things on another team.
- Since not all of the teams have five players, as the Monday night group continues to grow, we now have the flexibility to fit new members onto teams for the remainder of this draw. So, if you have friends that would like to try curling, please feel free to invite them out.
Regards
